LIVING STREAMS is an exciting new way of connecting to the unique landscape of the Georges River and its people. Coordinated by Liverpool City Council and Library as a part of the WSROC – Water in the Landscape cultural projects, Living Streams invites creative producers, artists, as well as interested members of Liverpool communities to contribute building a living gallery of artworks and stories that are inspired by the river and its environment. LivingStreams uses Augmented Reality (AR) technology to weave water and sites of cultural significance along the river together with people’s stories, artworks, photographs, video and music. As people walk along the river using a mobile phone they will experience the stories coming alive. A series of creative media workshop are made available to the broader community, passing on the skills on the use of AR technology to anyone who is interested in sharing their artworks and stories. Creative outcomes of the workshops are placed digitally in to the real world for everyone to explore.
This website and the augmented reality experience have been designed and facilitated by CuriousWorks.
